A new CNN poll reveals that a majority of Americans want a third political party\u2014just not one led by Elon Musk.<\/p>\n

According to the survey, 63% of U.S. adults say they would support a new party fielding candidates in presidential and congressional elections to challenge both Democrats and Republicans.<\/p>\n

Musk, the world\u2019s richest man, announced on X this month that he would be launching a new political party known as the \u201cAmerica party.\u201d<\/p>\n

But according to the CNN survey, most Americans aren\u2019t on board if Musk is going to lead it. \u201cJust 25% of respondents said they would support a party led by Musk, while 74% said they would not,\u201d MassLive reported, citing the results.<\/p>\n

The results led CNN\u2019s data analyst, Harry Enten, to declare on X: \u201cJeez Louise, Musk\u2019s 3rd party looks close to dead on arrival.\u201d<\/p>\n

The CNN poll also showed Elon Musk\u2019s favorability has taken a hit, with only 23% of respondents viewing him positively and 60% expressing an unfavorable opinion.<\/p>\n

Conducted from July 10 to July 13 with a sample of 1,057 adults, the poll carries a margin of error of \u00b13.5%, MassLive\u00a0noted<\/a>.<\/p>\n
