A federal judge denied\u00a0Blake Lively\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0request to keep some of her private text messages with\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0Justin Baldoni<\/a>, a major legal victory for the embattled \u201cIt Ends with Us\u201d actor and director.<\/p>\n

U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman deemed in a court filing Wednesday that Baldoni\u2019s requests for some messages between Lively and Swift were permissible.<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s legal team will have access to text messages only about \u201cIt Ends with Us,\u201d the judge ruled. Lively and Baldoni starred in the 2024 film, an adaptation of Colleen Hoover\u2019s bestselling romance novel \u201cIt Ends with Us,\u201d which is at the center of their ongoing legal battle.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiven that Lively has represented that Swift had knowledge of complaints or discussions about the working environment on the film, among other issues, the requests for messages with Swift regarding the film and this action are reasonably tailored to discover information that would prove or disprove Lively\u2019s harassment and retaliation claims,\u201d the judge wrote.<\/p>\n

A representative for Lively denounced the decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cBaldoni\u2019s desire to drag Taylor Swift into this has been constant dating back to August 2024 \u2026 a strategy to influence the \u2018TS fanbase,\u2019\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
