The suspect, identified as\u00a0Anibal Hernandez-Santana, 64<\/strong>, was first taken into custody by local police on Sept. 19 after allegedly opening fire on the ABC affiliate\u2019s building. But just hours after he posted $200,000 bail, the FBI re-arrested him on\u00a0federal charges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Chilling Note<\/h3>\n

According to the Justice Department, agents found a handwritten note inside Hernandez-Santana\u2019s vehicle. The message specifically mentioned top members of former President Donald Trump\u2019s administration:\u00a0Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Investigators also uncovered Hernandez-Santana\u2019s online presence, which showed a\u00a0pattern of anti-Trump commentary<\/strong>. Just last week, he posted:\u00a0\u201cWhere is a good heart attack when we need it the most?? Please join in my thoughts and prayers for the physical demise of our fearful leader.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Other posts revealed he was ready to \u201cfight like hell\u201d against the Trump administration. His attorney has since claimed his client is being targeted because of his outspoken political views.<\/p>\n

Federal Response<\/h3>\n

Kash Patel confirmed on X that Hernandez-Santana remains in custody under a federal hold, calling the case a reminder that\u00a0\u201ctargeted acts of violence will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The shooting took place just one day after protests erupted outside ABC 10, following the suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. His remarks linking Charlie Kirk\u2019s accused assassin to Trump supporters had already sparked national backlash.<\/p>\n
