The tragedy unfolded when a young couple, who had stopped on the shoulder of the road to fix a flat tire, were hit by a speeding vehicle. Authorities confirmed that the couple\u2019s vehicle was a Chevrolet Cruze, while the car that struck them was a Chevrolet S10 pickup truck. According to the Military Police, the S10 driver showed obvious signs of intoxication, raising serious concerns about his condition. After the collision, the Military Police went to the hospital where the S10 driver was receiving medical care. The Civil Police have launched a formal investigation into the incident. Maicon\u2019s body was transferred to the Legal Medical Service (SML) in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim for examination.
