More horrifying details are emerging in light of the news that Hollywood filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife were found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home at the weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reports detail how the couple were found on Sunday, December 14 inside their abode in Brentwood, California. According to The Mirror, authorities described the scene as a \u201chorror double murder\u201d involving what appeared to be stab wounds.\u00a0The Hollywood director and his wife were said to have<\/a> been discovered dead in their home by their daughter, Romy.<\/p>\n

New information published by TMZ now claims<\/a> that the couple were killed by a family member during a heated argument inside their home.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, it\u2019s unclear what led to the argument in question, though TMZ<\/a> say Romy told police that a family member had killed them. The couple\u2019s son, Nick, is currently being questioned in connection with the murders.<\/p>\n

Citing sources, TMZ<\/a> said that Romy made a chilling comment to police about the aforementioned family member when they arrived, telling them they \u201cshould be a suspect\u201d because they\u2019re \u201cdangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, one source familiar with the case, who the LA Times<\/a> say was not authorized to speak publicly, said there were no signs of forced entry at the home. The source also indicated that the victims had injuries consistent with stab wounds.<\/p>\n

At a news conference late Sunday, LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton shared limited details, saying the investigation was still in its early stages. Detectives were in the process of obtaining a search warrant before conducting a \u201cthorough\u201d examination of the property.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, the Los Angeles Police Department is not seeking anyone as a suspect or as a person of interest \u2026 and we will not be doing that until we conduct our investigation and move forward,\u201d Hamilton said.<\/p>\n

He added that several family members would be interviewed but emphasized that \u201cno one has been detained; no one is being questioned as a suspect.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rob<\/a>, 78, and Michele, 68, were married since 1989 and lived in an upscale Brentwood neighborhood known for its gated properties and tall hedges. According to\u00a0The New York Post,\u00a0<\/a>their home was decorated for the holidays on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Rob \u2014 the son of iconic comedian\u00a0Carl Reiner \u2014 began his career in show business as a comedy writer in the 1960s. He worked as\u00a0Steve Martin\u2019s writing partner on the\u00a0Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour<\/em>\u00a0in 1968 and \u201969.<\/p>\n

Reiner starred as Michael Stivic (also known as \u2018Meathead\u2019) in\u00a0All in the Family<\/em>\u00a0during the 1970s, winning two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.<\/p>\n

He would go on to direct\u00a0This is Spinal Tap<\/em>,\u00a0Stand By Me<\/em>,\u00a0The Princess Bride<\/em>, and the aforementioned\u00a0When Harry Met Sally<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Michele and Rob shared kids Jake,\u00a0Nick\u00a0and\u00a0Romy together. Rob also had a daughter,\u00a0Tracy, from his first marriage.<\/p>\n

Tracy was the first of Rob\u2019s children to break their silence following the heartbreaking incident, telling NBC News\u2019 entertainment correspondent Chloe Melas that she is \u2018in shock\u2019.<\/p>\n
