A 26-year-old woman explained to Redditors<\/a> how she\u2019ll never be good enough for her husband\u2019s family<\/a>, who continue to humiliate her.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Most recently, she was vacationing with the family when she was excluded from dinner at a \u201cfancy restaurant\u201d because, according to her in-laws, she doesn\u2019t know \u201chow to eat.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

When her husband told her to have dinner alone at the hotel, she was pushed to her breaking point and snapped back with a response the family will never forget.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 26-year-old woman shared on Reddit<\/a> that she\u2019s spent years trying to fit in with the arrogant in-laws who suggest she\u2019s \u201cignorant\u201d for being \u201clower class.\u201d<\/p>\n

The author, who comes from a modest family, is accused by her \u201csnobby\u201d mother-in-law (MIL)<\/a> as having no \u201cetiquette.\u201d<\/p>\n

In mid-2023, the original poster (OP) explained that her husband<\/a> \u201cliterally begged\u201d his family to bring his wife along on vacation, usually reserved for immediate blood relatives. \u201cThis isn\u2019t just with me, my [brother-in-law\u2019s] girlfriend wasn\u2019t invited as well,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

\nThe OP then says after arriving at the hotel, the trip quickly went sour when she was excluded from joining the family for dinner at a \u201cfancy restaurant.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy husband avoided telling me. And I learned it last minute after he [was] already dressed. I asked where he was going, and he said he and his family were going to eat out, but I wasn\u2019t invited.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not clarifying what type of cuisine was involved, the author says she was surprised her husband excused his behavior by saying it was his mother who had no confidence in her \u201cetiquette.\u201d \u201cHis mom \u2018assumed\u2019 that since I wouldn\u2019t be familiar with the food and \u2018how to eat it\u2019 there at the restaurant, [that] it\u2019s better for me to stay in and eat at the hotel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her brilliant response<\/h2>\n

Refusing to argue, the OP instead let her husband join his family and wished them a nice dinner.<\/p>\n

After dinner was over, the woman\u2019s husband returned back to the hotel room, and discovered she was gone.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe freaked out and called many times, and when he found out that I went home, he blew up and called me ridiculous and irrational to do this.\u201d Her post continues, \u201cEven said that I acted in an ungrateful manner and embarrassed him in front of his family after he literally begged to have me go on the trip.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, after he returned home, the situation did not improve. He\u2019s been giving her the \u201csilent treatment,\u201d and his family also joined the battle, \u201cindirectly criticizing me on Facebook about what I did.\u201d<\/p>\n
