Another woman who was wed into the Royal Family as opposed to being born into it is Queen Camilla<\/a>, whose union with King Charles made her one of the most senior members of the monarchy.<\/p>\n

These days Camilla has gotten over the initial vitriol surrounding her perceived usurping of Diana\u2019s position, and she\u2019s generally well liked and accepted by the British public. Of course, that doesn\u2019t mean she\u2019s above being targeted by detractors and trolls on occasion, as was proven after the Order of the British Empire ceremony in London last week.<\/p>\n

Camilla and King Charles stepped out together last Wednesday for the ceremony, which rewards<\/a>\u00a0\u201coutstanding contributions to the war effort\u201d and \u201cnow recognises the work of people from all walks of life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the couple donned traditional royal garb for the occasion, with their outfits naturally drawing the attention of the general public. Yet though the various ensembles worn by senior royals at the most prestigious of events on the royal calendar can come across as\u2026 well, downright barmy sometimes, it was arguably what Camilla wore under her red silken dress robe that had people talking.<\/p>\n
