The Trump supporter who was murdered by would-be presidential assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks has been identified as former Buffalo Township Fire Chief Corey Comperatore.<\/p>\n
A native of Sarver, Pennsylvania, Comperatore is survived by his wife, daughter, mother, and sisters.<\/p>\n
Members of the crowd tried to save the devoted family man\u2019s life in the bleachers after Crooks opened fire from a rooftop located a little more than 100 yards away. \u201cI heard the shots. I thought it was firecrackers to begin with,\u201d said<\/a> an emergency room doctor who was sitting not far from Comperatore. \u201cSomebody over there was screaming, \u2018he\u2019s been shot, he\u2019s been shot.\u2019 So I made my way over. I said, I\u2019m an emergency department physician.\u201d<\/p>\n
