She passed away at the age of 51.<\/p>\n

TMZ reported that Esta\u2019s family said she died suddenly in her home in North Hollywood.<\/p>\n

The doctors who found her body think she had been dead since the day before.<\/p>\n

Her death is being looked into.<\/p>\n

When Esta talked to Soap Opera Digest a few weeks ago, she hinted that she might go back to acting on daytime TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefinitely something I would like to get back into,\u201d Esta told the outlet. She lived in both South Africa and the US.<\/p>\n

She played the troubled Hungarian princess Gillian Andrassy on All My Children until 2001, when her character died.<\/p>\n

After ten years, she played Gillian\u2019s ghost in the last few weeks of the soap opera\u2019s run.<\/p>\n

In April 2011, ABC said they were ending the long-running show that had been on for 41 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I got back, Cameron Mathison and I were both very emotional.\u201d \u201cWhen we saw each other, we both started crying,\u201d Esta said about Ryan Lavery, the actor who played her love interest.<\/p>\n

\u201cBack then, we hadn\u2019t seen each other for years, so it was such a touching moment for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Gillian said she wanted to go back to her home country of South Africa, Esta made the decision to kill her on the show.<\/p>\n

Years later, though, Esta was ready to go back to soap operas and hoped to do so with Cameron, who was 54 at the time.<\/p>\n

Everyone from All My Children paid their respects to the late star on social media after she died.<\/p>\n

A picture from the past of her and Cameron on set was posted with the sweet message, \u201cRest in Peace, Esta TerBlanche.\u201d Thank you for putting on such a beautiful and interesting show. Beautiful Princess, we will miss you.<\/p>\n

In the comments, fans shared how sad they were about Esta\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
