<\/figure>\nAlthough the Second World War was still going on, Robert Fellowes was born at Sandringham House in Norfolk in 1941.<\/p>\n
Eton College was his school, and he joined the Scots Guards on a short-term commission in 1960.<\/p>\n
He started working as a banker in 1963, when he started working for Allen Harvey and Ross Ltd., who were discount brokers and bankers.<\/p>\n
The wedding took place at Westminster Abbey in 1978 and Lord Robert married Lady Jane Fellowes.<\/p>\n
Princess Diana, Lady Jane\u2019s sister Diana Spencer, was a bridesmaid at the wedding.<\/p>\n
In 1977, Fellowes was hired as an Assistant Private Secretary in the Royal Household.<\/p>\n
He worked as a private secretary for 20 years, rising through the ranks to become deputy in 1986 and private secretary in 1990.<\/p>\n
Lord Robert held the job for nine years, until 1999, when Robin Janvrin took over.<\/p>\n
In 1997, after 20 years of service to the Royal Family, he was given the Queen Elizabeth II Version of the Royal Household Long and Faithful Service Medal.<\/p>\n He also served as the late Queen\u2019s extra horse until she died in September 2022.<\/p>\n When Robert\u2019s term ended and he was made a Baron, Lady Jane became a Baroness.<\/p>\n For the first time, he was introduced to the House of Lords on October 26, 1999.<\/p>\n They had three kids: Eleanor Ruth Fellowes, Alexander Robert Fellowes, and Laura Jane Fellowes.<\/p>\n Fellowes told The Telegraph about Diana after her sad death in 1997, \u201cI was very fond of her.\u201d She was an excellent person.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was hard for her to be happy, and I feel bad for people who are in that situation.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Uncle of Prince Harry and Prince William, Lord Robert Fellowes, has died.
