The main job and role of any parent is to provide a safe and loving home for a kid to grow and blossom within. So it\u2019s heartbreaking to imagine that there are some children who don\u2019t get to experience this because of their parents, growing up in foster care, or other struggles.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Meet three siblings<\/h3>\n

Four-year-old Miquel, six-year-old Willis, and 9-year-old Nevaeh are all very familiar with foster care.<\/p>\n

The three siblings spent much of their childhood in the care of the state. But everything changed when a single dad came to their rescue.<\/p>\n

A single dad<\/h3>\n

Darryl Andersen of Vernal, Utah, gave the sweet siblings a forever home.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the touching story of a single dad stepping in to prove that with a little bit of love, anything is possible.<\/p>\n

They haven\u2019t had it easy<\/h3>\n

All in all, the three siblings have had a rough start in life.<\/p>\n

They entered foster care back in 2016, and since then, it\u2019s been a nightmare trying to find a good household to take them in.<\/p>\n

In need of a stable environment<\/h3>\n

Everyone knows that kids need stability, however, for these youngsters, it\u2019s been an endless cycle of constant change.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

Andersen explained to reporters from\u00a0KSL News<\/a>\u00a0that it was simply one house after another.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re very close, and understand, you know, they\u2019ve been placed 16 times and in group homes and so all they had was each other,\u201d said Andersen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Searching for a home<\/h3>\n

Between all of the foster homes and group homes, the kids changed living situations sixteen different times over the course of the five years that they had been floating through the system.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

Andersen couldn\u2019t believe it.<\/h3>\n

As a single dad with three kids of his own already, it was hard to stomach the thought.<\/p>\n

The idea of Miquel, Willis, and Navaeh spending Thanksgiving, Christmas, and really, their entire lives without a stable living situation was too much for him to bear.<\/p>\n

Andersen started thinking about adoption.<\/h3>\n

With so many years of experience being a father under his belt already, he knew he could do it.<\/p>\n

Then, with the blessing of his own children, he decided to move forward with the process.<\/p>\n
