\"MayVice President Kamala Harris offered up a plan to provide tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars to black men in a shameless bid to \u201cbuy their votes,\u201d but it\u2019s not likely to come to fruition because it\u2019s unconstitutional, according to former New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey (R).<\/p>\n

In an op-ed for the New York Post, McCaughey took Harris to task not only for introducing such a \u201cdivisive,\u201d biased program but also for the motivations behind it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kamala Harris is rushing to fix a growing\u00a0hole in her support: black men. She\u2019s trying to buy their votes with thinly veiled\u00a0taxpayer-funded giveaways \u2014 \u2018fully forgivable\u2019 $20,000 loans \u2014 she says are meant just for them,\u201d the former New York official noted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe money can be used to \u2018purchase a van for a catering business . . . buy professional hairstyling equipment and chair space for a barber shop, buy lawn mowers and tools for a landscaper, and more,\u2019 according to a\u00a0statement<\/a>\u00a0from her campaign,\u201d McCaughey continued.<\/p>\n

She went on to note that under Harris\u2019 plan, white men struggling to start their own businesses should have the same opportunity to apply for and receive those funds under the Constitution, but it doesn\u2019t appear that Harris is truly interested in equality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
