\nOn Friday, a federal appeals court issued a temporary freeze to a gag order issued by the federal judge presiding over the case, CNN reported.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn a brief order, a three-judge panel at the US DC Circuit Court of Appeals said they were pausing the gag order issued by District Judge Tanya Chutkan to give them more time to consider Trump\u2019s request to pause the order while his appeal plays out before the court,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe appellate judges \u2013 Patricia Millett and Cornelia Pillard, both Barack Obama appointees, and Brad Garcia, a Joe Biden appointee \u2013 said they would fast-track Trump\u2019s appeal of the gag order and hear arguments in the matter on November 20,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n
The former president\u2019s attorneys complained to the court that the gag order was \u201cunconstitutional.\u201d

\u201cThe prosecution\u2019s request for a Gag Order bristles with hostility to President Trump\u2019s viewpoint and his relentless criticism of the government\u2014including of the prosecution itself,\u201d the attorneys said. \u201cThe Gag Order embodies this unconstitutional hostility to President Trump\u2019s viewpoint. It should be immediately stayed.\u201d<\/p>\n
