\nIt\u2019s amazing to think that the late great Robin Williams passed away ten years ago. The late performer was a titan of the cinema industry, a humorous actor practically without rival, whose passing made an enduring impression on the world. Without a doubt, the circumstances surrounding his death were tragic, and the void he left behind is still quite significant.<\/p>\n

It should come as no surprise, then, that people are still discussing his life and legacy and that many of them speculate about what would have happened if his destiny and wealth had gone in a different direction.<\/p>\n

Billy Connolly, a comedian and close friend of the actor, shared the last words William ever addressed to him nearly ten years after the tragic loss of the Good Will Hunting star. and they\u2019re just as tearjerking as you could expect\u2026 It\u2019s true that Robin Williams\u2019 name is synonymous with humour.<\/p>\n

Williams developed into one of the funniest guys to have ever graced our screens during the course of his colourful career. He combined gut-busting humour with bizarre, fantastic, flawed, and fabulous characters to create a comedy that still makes people laugh ten years after his death.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, tragedy also dogged Williams\u2019 life here, to the point where the actor felt that life was just not worth living. Williams, 63, was discovered dead at home on August 11, 2014, appearing to have committed suicide.<\/p>\n

Even though Williams had achieved enormous success in his acting career, he struggled with problems such as alcoholism. In an attempt to further his dedication to sobriety, Williams spent several weeks at the Hazelden facility in Minnesota in 2014.<\/p>\n

The Jumanji star reportedly struggled with drinking and cocaine misuse in the early 1980s before giving up when his friend John Belushi overdosed and died in 1982. The spokesperson for the late Hollywood icon said that he had been \u201cbattling severe depression\u201d after his death in 2014. Later on, his wife Susan Schneider provided additional details about his death, including the fact that he had received a Parkinson\u2019s disease diagnosis just months prior to his dying.
\nFollowing an autopsy, it was discovered that Williams had Lewy body dementia (LBD), which caused serious changes in his personality, movement, temperament, memory, reasoning, sleep patterns, and mood.<\/p>\n

It goes without saying that many individuals were negatively impacted by Williams\u2019 death, including his closest friends and relatives.<\/p>\n

Sir Billy Connolly was one man who squarely fit into the first group; he has been diagnosed with Parkinson\u2019s disease. The comedian and actor responded, \u201cYou have to give a guy the position that he\u2019s wise enough to make up his own mind,\u201d when asked what he would have done differently if he had known Williams intended to commit suicide. When questioned if he would not have made an effort to save his own life, Connolly replied, \u201cI don\u2019t think so.\u201d<\/p>\n

Connolly, who is now 81 years old, also disclosed that he and Williams had frequently spoken on the phone about their experiences with Parkinson\u2019s disease and would frequently express their deep affection and love for one another. Connolly talked about his relationship with Williams on the BBC show In My Own Words.<\/p>\n

He mentioned that the actor had called him the week before Williams passed away to ask him to dinner. \u201cHe called me and said, \u2018Let\u2019s have dinner,\u2019 and during the dinner, he said, \u2018I love you,\u2019\u201d Connolly recalled of their last meal together. I expressed my gratitude. \u201cDo you believe me?\u201d he asked. I said, \u201cObviously, I do.\u201d \u201cBelieve me, I love you,\u201d he exclaimed. I thought that was fantastic.<\/p>\n
