The network\u2019s K-File department discovered two separate ads, one in Pennsylvania and one in Michigan, with two distinctly different messages on the war between Israel and Hamas.<\/p>\n
Investigative journalist Andrew Kaczynski, who operates K-File, spoke to anchor Erin Burnett to speak about the \u201cfine line that the Harris campaign is trying to walk\u201d to attract Arab voters in Michigan and Jewish voters in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
The chyron on the network said \u201cHARRIS CAMPAIGN\u2019S MESSAGE ON ISREAL-GAZA DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU LIVE\u201d as they played clips of the two ads.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat has happened in Gaza over the past nine months is devastating. We cannot allow ourselves to become numb to the suffering. And I will not be silent,\u201d the vice president said in the ad that airs in Michigan.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, it\u2019s a very different story for an ad in Pennsylvania targeting Jewish voters,\u201d the anchor said.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet me be clear: I will always stand up for Israel\u2019s right to defend itself, and I will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself. Because the people of Israel must never again face the horror that a terrorist organization called Hamas caused on October 7th<\/sup>,\u201d the vice president said in the Pennsylvania ad designed to attract Jewish voters.<\/p>\n Kaczynski spoke about how far apart the two ads are and the struggle for the vice president.<\/p>\n \u201cLook, this really illustrates the sort of fine line that the Harris campaign is trying to walk here in the closing weeks closing days of this campaign on the issue of Israel. Here you have two entirely different constituencies, and they are getting two entirely different messages there. Oftentimes, these constituencies have very opposing views on this,\u201d the reporter said.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you are a Jewish person in Pennsylvania, you saw that ad that you\u2019re getting. You are getting that ad that talks about how strong, strong she is in Israel. If you\u2019re a Muslim voter in Michigan, you are getting that ad on Facebook that\u2019s talking about talking about how she won\u2019t be silent on the issue of Gaza. Now, what\u2019s really interesting here is that ad that we that we just played, the one that\u2019s going to judge Jewish voters in Pennsylvania,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He said that the ad in Pennsylvania was edited by the Democratic National Committee and removed her words of support for Palestinians.<\/p>\n The vice president is struggling with Arab voters which is the reason that she needs to walk the tightrope.<\/p>\n
