Khalid is opening up about his sexuality. In a series of posts to X on Friday, Nov, 22, the \u201cLocation\u201d singer, 26, came out as gay after being outed on the platform.<\/p>\n

The R&B singer, whose birth name is Khalid Donnel Robinson, confirmed he was a member of the LGBTQ+ community with a simple message. Taking to the social media platform<\/a>, Khalid first posted a rainbow flag emoji with a set of exclamation points, adding, \u201cthere yall go. next topic please lol.\u201d Responding to a fan who asked if he was \u201cGEHHH,\u201d the Grammy nominee confirmed<\/a>, \u201cI am! And that\u2019s okay.\u201d In a follow-up message, the \u201cYoung Dumb & Broke\u201d singer revealed that his decision to publicly speak on his sexuality was in part sparked by him being outed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got outted and the world still continues to turn,\u201d he wrote<\/a>. \u201cLet\u2019s get this straight (lmao) I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality it ain\u2019t nobodies (sic) business! But I am okay with me. love yall.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Khalid did not specify who outed him, Rolling Stone<\/a><\/em> reported that his posts came shortly after recording artist Hugo Almonte shared a series of since-deleted posts about the artists he\u2019s had sex with. In one of the messages, he claimed that \u201cone of your favorite gay R&B singers\u201d once offered him drugs and \u201ctried to set me up and lie that I broke into his house.\u201d He also shared a since-deleted photo of himself and Khalid.<\/p>\n

In further posts addressing his sexuality, Khalid told his fans<\/a> that he \u201cwasn\u2019t hiding anything,\u201d but rather his sexuality just isn\u2019t \u201cany of your business.\u201d He again stated that he \u201cwas never hiding\u201d<\/a> his sexuality when one fan noted that he released an \u201cLGBTQ anthem\u201d in 2022 with the song \u201cSatellite.\u201d Meanwhile, his song \u201cLove Lies\u201d was the official single for the Love, Simon<\/em> soundtrack, and he also spoke about the LGBTQ+ community while being honored as one of Time<\/em>\u2019s Most Influential Teens of 2017.<\/p>\n
