As the message continued, it called their government \u201cone of the most successful administrations in history\u201d and said it \u201cwill be leaving behind the best economy in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cUnder President Biden and Vice President Harris\u2019 leadership, 16 million jobs have been created, and we\u2019ve gotten women and people of color back in the labor force at record rates,\u201d the memo stated. \u201cA record 20 million new business applications have been filed, and inflation is down to near pre-pandemic levels.\u201d<\/p>\n
The White House added that \u201cour success\u201d in these areas was due to \u201cpassing and implementing legislation that rebuilt our nation\u2019s infrastructure, made the largest investment in climate action in history, lowered prescription drug costs, and spurred a manufacturing renaissance.\u201d<\/p>\n
The memo quotes unnamed \u201cbusiness leaders\u201d calling the U.S. economy \u201camong the best-performing economies\u201d in decades.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe latest jobs report released earlier this month, however, appears to show a different story. The Labor Department report shows that just 12,000 jobs were created in October, far below estimates of up to 120,000, and were the lowest in four years. The unemployment rate was 4.1%, in line with expectations,\u201d Fox News reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe cumulative effect of inflation has continued to weigh on many Americans. The Labor Department\u2019s inflation report for October found that the consumer price index \u2014 a broad measure of how much everyday goods like gasoline, groceries and rent cost \u2014 was up 2.6% from a year ago for the U.S. as a whole, in line with expectations as inflation ticked higher amid a broader cooling trend,\u201d the outlet added.<\/p>\n Karoline Leavitt, the national press secretary for the Trump campaign, noted a few days before the presidential election: \u201cThis jobs report is a catastrophe and definitively reveals how badly Kamala Harris broke our economy.\u201d<\/p>\n The vote totals on election day seemed to reflect a referendum on the Biden-Harris administration\u2019s policies, reflecting the will of the American people.<\/p>\n With 312 electoral votes to Harris\u2019 226 and more than 2 million more votes in the popular vote, Trump easily defeated Harris.<\/p>\n The White House announced this week that President Joe Biden and his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, will attend President-elect Donald Trump\u2019s inauguration on January 20.<\/p>\n Before the election, Biden stated that he would be present, regardless of the outcome.\u00a0White House spokesperson Andrew Bates confirmed on Monday, while he was aboard Air Force One, that Biden and the First Lady will be present at the inauguration.<\/p>\n \u201cThe president promised that he would attend the inauguration of whomever won the election,\u201d Bates said. \u201cHe and the first lady are going to honor that promise and attend the inauguration.
