\"\"Britney Spears has seemingly moved to Mexico, sparking more concern among fans<\/a> for her well-being. In a series of videos shared to Instagram on her 43rd birthday Tuesday, the \u201cBaby One More Time\u201d singer revealed she has fled the U.S. and relocated to Mexico due to \u201cincredibly cruel\u201d paparazzi, while also getting her actual age wrong.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt really kind of hurts my feelings that the paparazzi make my face look like I\u2019m wearing like a white Jason mask. It doesn\u2019t even look like me,\u201d Spears, who in 2021 was released from her 13-year conservatorship<\/a>, said in one video<\/a>. \u201cThey\u2019ve always been incredibly cruel to me, the paparazzi and pictures and the way they\u2019ve illustrated me to be in some of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the \u201cGimmie More\u201d singer admitted that she\u2019s \u201cnot perfect,\u201d she said the paparazzi\u2019s treatment toward her has been \u201cextremely mean and cruel.\u201d She then revealed, \u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019ve moved to Mexico.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spears shared the video Tuesday TMZ<\/a><\/em> obtained photos of the singer landing in Cabo San Lucas on Dec. 2. In the images, Spears was all smiles as she arrived wearing a white trench coat, black hat and sunglasses. A source later told PEOPLE<\/a><\/em> that Spears \u201cjetted off to Mexico with friends\u201d in a private jet\u201d and \u201ctreated herself to a fun vacation for her birthday. She loves Mexico and can\u2019t wait to celebrate in the sun.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a separate video Tuesday<\/a>, Spears again condemned the paparazzi\u2019s treatment of her as she appeared to address a photo of her that surfaced Monday<\/a> that captured her boarding a private jet on an L.A. tarmac while holding a grill lighter to her lips.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not really sure why the paparazzi have me going on a plane looking like I\u2019m wearing a Jason mask,\u201d she said. \u201c\u201cIt doesn\u2019t even look like me. I don\u2019t know why I have a torch in my hand honestly. I think my friend accidentally gave that to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

In that same video, Spears sparked concern when she joked she was turning 5 and got her actual age wrong, stating, \u201cBut anyways, it\u2019s my birthday. I\u2019m not turning 42, I\u2019m turning five this year. I\u2019m turning 5 years old and I have to go to kindergarten tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although it remains unclear if Spears has actually relocated to Mexico, her love of the country is well-documented. The singer has celebrated numerous birthdays in Mexico in the past, and even celebrated her 40th birthday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, writing on social media at the time<\/a>, \u201cI\u2019m so blessed and grateful !!!! Tears of joy today. Thank you for all the b-day wishes !!!! Psss I didn\u2019t even drink the champagne o lie !!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Spears\u2019 43rd birthday was a big day for the singer for more reasons than just a possible permanent move. Just a day earlier, she was declared legally single<\/a> seven months after her divorce from Sam Asghari was finalized in Los Angeles on May 2.
