Ward, 37, and the other people in the vehicle, Audrey Maris Ross, 29, Jade Evelyn Burton, 27, and Amanda Lynn Leroux aka Zelena Ophelia Moon, 30 died after being struck by a drunk driver with a suspended license.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wyff4.com\/article\/greenville-deadly-crash-victims-names-released\/63322339\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According to <em>WYFF<\/em><\/a>, a local CNBC affiliate, the accident happened around 9 PM on New Year\u2019s Eve in Greenville, South Carolina. Ward and his friends were backing out of a private drive in their 2017 Subaru SUV when they were struck by a BMW sedan driven by Nicholas Shane Meeks.<\/p>\n<div id=\"AdThrive_Content_1_desktop\" class=\"adthrive-ad adthrive-content adthrive-content-1 adthrive-ad-cls\" data-google-query-id=\"CK7RtMDy6YoDFVWLgwcd2V0sqQ\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/18190176,33020490\/AdThrive_Content_1\/66758c2be5d31e1a705974a4_0__container__\"><iframe id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/18190176,33020490\/AdThrive_Content_1\/66758c2be5d31e1a705974a4_0\" tabindex=\"0\" title=\"3rd party ad content\" name=\"google_ads_iframe_\/18190176,33020490\/AdThrive_Content_1\/66758c2be5d31e1a705974a4_0\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" aria-label=\"Advertisement\" data-google-container-id=\"2\" data-gtm-yt-inspected-6=\"true\" data-load-complete=\"true\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Neighbors heard the accident, saw a \u201cmassive explosion\u201d and rushed to the scene to help. Unfortunately, they were too late. A coroner\u2019s report stated that Burton and Leroux died of multiple blunt force injuries while Ross died of blunt force trauma to the chest. Ward\u2019s cause of death was listed as smoke inhalation and thermal burns.<\/p>\n<p>Meeks received four charges of DUI involving death. He was given no bond on those charges. Authorities gave him a $653 bond for the charge of driving without a license. This was not Meeks\u2019 first run-in with the law. They would have created a blended family with four children.
