Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has emerged in a recent poll as the most popular member of the president\u2019s Cabinet with a +14 net approval rating. That puts him well ahead of the next most popular members: Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who is at +8 and the person tied with him, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, per a poll by J.L. Partners\u00a0found<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But Bessent has not been the only beneficiary of\u00a0fantastic poll news<\/a>\u00a0in recent days. Trump\u2019s approval rating has risen to near-record levels, despite several days of outrage from Democrats, establishment Republicans, and mainstream media outlets over the president\u2019s ambitious trade changes.<\/p>\n

According to a separate\u00a0poll<\/a>\u00a0conducted by J.L. Partners in collaboration with the Daily Mail, which surveyed 1,000 registered voters from March 31 to April 3, Trump\u2019s support rating increased even after sweeping tariffs were imposed on dozens of trading partners on April 2.<\/p>\n

The study indicated that Trump\u2019s approval rating increased to 53 percent, a four-point improvement from last week\u2019s poll, when it was 49 percent. The Daily Mail termed the outcome as \u201csurprising\u201d considering the intense pressure and stock market crash that occurred on Thursday and Friday.<\/p>\n

Breaking down the numbers further, Trump\u2019s favorability rating among voters aged 18 to 29 has improved by an amazing 13 points since March 7. The study implies Trump is building on the tremendous support he earned from the group in the November presidential election, when voters aged 18 to 29 switched 10 points in Trump\u2019s favor after heavily supporting Joe Biden in 2020.<\/p>\n

The president\u2019s support rating increased by six percentage points among registered Democrats and independents, according to the study. The president\u2019s favorability among black voters has increased by 17 points since last week\u2019s survey.<\/p>\n

Nearly 100 days into his presidency, American employers and job board leaders have given Trump a very favorable report card, saying they believe the economy \u201ccan win now,\u201d even though, as they note, it hasn\u2019t \u201cstarted to win yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
