In an appearance with host Lawrence O\u2019Donnell, the two commiserated about Patel and suggested that he would politicize the agency that was weaponized by the regime of now-former President Joe Biden against Trump for most of Biden\u2019s term. They also predicted that a future Democratic president would fire Patel upon taking office.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith all this going on in the Senate floor, you did something that senators have never done before, to actually go out to the street, in this case outside the FBI headquarters today, to protest the confirmation by the Republican senators of an FBI director who was absolutely unimaginable as being qualified for any form of federal service prior to Donald Trump winning the presidency,\u201d O\u2019Donnell said of Patel, who is a former federal prosecutor and national security official.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, we stood outside the FBI headquarters to make a last plea against this \u2014 this terrible choice to be FBI director, Kash Patel. Kash Patel is the guy you go to when everybody else says, \u2018No, I won\u2019t do it. It\u2019s too immoral, it\u2019s too unethical, it\u2019s too unlawful.\u2019 He\u2019s the guy. That\u2019s why he was chosen. You rise to the level of your utter sycophancy in the Trump Administration,\u201d Schiff claimed.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut here\u2019s the thing. I\u2019ve worked with the FBI for decades, ever since I was a federal prosecutor. They\u2019re the premier law enforcement agency.
