The president celebrated the ruling with a <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/114462557388994627\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> on his Truth Social account of a report summarizing the court win.<\/p>\n<p>Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson would have dismissed the administration\u2019s appeal, upholding the lower court ruling.<\/p>\n<p>Shilling v. United States is a lawsuit challenging Trump\u2019s executive order prohibiting transgender military troops, Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/supreme-court-hands-down-decision-trans-military-ban-suit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\">Advertisement<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7063311234970495\" data-ad-slot=\"2702911965\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\" data-adsbygoogle-status=\"done\" data-ad-status=\"unfilled\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"aswift_1_host\"><\/div>\n<p><\/ins><\/div>\n<p>The executive order would direct the Defense Department to revise its guidance on \u201ctrans-identifying medical standards for military service\u201d and \u201crescind guidance inconsistent with military readiness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Trump administration has claimed that further postponing the policy will jeopardize US military readiness, as it expressed to the Supreme Court in a brief late last month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbsent a stay, the district court\u2019s universal injunction will remain in place for the duration of further review in the Ninth Circuit and in this Court \u2013 a period far too long for the military to be forced to maintain a policy that it has determined, in its professional judgment, to be contrary to military readiness and the Nation\u2019s interests,\u201d U.S. Solicitor General D.
