A few days after her visit, she broke down in tears and told me she had lost her earrings. Didn\u2019t I find them?I pushed the table back, and there they were. This is what I told her.<\/p>\n<p>She ran over, looked at them, and said, \u201cYes, they\u2019re mine!\u201d I\u2019m not going to wear them anymore, though, because they were dirty on the floor. You can have them if you want to.<\/p>\n<p>She then left. I have no idea what it was.
