<\/p>\nFormer Minnesota Vikings and University of Minnesota football player Jack Brewer spoke out following the early-morning shootings that left one state Democratic House member and her husband dead and another Democratic senator and his wife injured.<\/p>\n

Brewer, who played four seasons with the Golden Gophers before beginning his NFL career with the Vikings in 2002, criticized Gov. Tim Walz, accusing him of allowing Minnesota to become \u201cthe capital of chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe need to start calling this what it is. These people have lost their minds. I am heartbroken to see one of the most amazing states in America completely turned around under Gov. Tim Walz. Minnesota is confused,\u201d Brewer told Fox News.<\/p>\n
\u201cI played for the Vikings. I played for the Gophers. I lived in Minnesota for years. It was not like this. People were respectful. People could disagree and still have conversations. I still have a lot of family there, and it hurts to see what they\u2019re living through,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cMinnesota has become the capital of chaos in America. That\u2019s not right. It\u2019s not a reflection of the true people of Minnesota. There are a lot of good people there. But the liberal hub around Minneapolis and St. Paul has taken over, and it\u2019s dangerous. Tim Walz is the leader of that. His attorney general, Keith Ellison, is right there with him,\u201d Brewer added.<\/p>\n
Brewer, reacting to the incident, blamed the violence on Democratic leadership and Walz\u2019s governance, calling for what he described as a \u201creturn to masculinity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTim Walz is the example of a weak, emasculated leader. That is not what God made fathers to be. It\u2019s pathetic,\u201d Brewer said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s terrible. The root cause of all of this is evil. When you\u2019re willing to attack, ridicule, riot and protest anyone who believes something different \u2014 even in your own party \u2014 you\u2019ve gone too far. The Democrats have gone so far left that if you\u2019re not a raging liberal, you\u2019re under attack. They are forcing everyone in the party to conform,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
President Donald Trump has not spoken with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz after a political assassination sent shockwaves through the state.<\/p>\n
During an interview with ABC News\u2019 Rachel Scott, the president condemned the act of violence and referred to Walz as a \u201cterrible governor\u201d who is \u201cgrossly incompetent.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, it\u2019s a terrible thing. I think he\u2019s a terrible governor. I think he\u2019s a grossly incompetent person. But I may, I may call him, I may call other people too,\u201d the president told Scott.<\/p>\n
The president condemned the violence shortly after the attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuch horrific violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America. God Bless the great people of Minnesota, a truly great place,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n
Trump said his administration is looking to play a very active role in the investigation.<\/p>\n
Attorney General Pam Bondi said that the Department of Justice is on the case after two Minnesota Democratic lawmakers were shot.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am closely monitoring developments in Minnesota after what appears to be a targeted attack against state lawmakers. The FBI is on the ground investigating this case alongside state and local partners. This horrific violence will not be tolerated and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,\u201d Bondi said on X.<\/p>\n
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said, \u201cThe FBI is fully engaged on the ground in Minnesota and is working in collaboration with our local and state partners.\u201d<\/p>\n
Vance Boelter, the person suspected of shooting two Minnesota Democratic state senators and murdering one of them and her spouse, was apprehended on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Sibley County apprehended Boelter, 57, after a two-day manhunt. He reportedly assassinated Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, early Saturday morning at their Brooklyn Park home in Minneapolis before allegedly killing State Sen. John Hoffman, a Democrat, and his wife, Yvette, in their neighboring Champlin home in a connected incident.<\/p>\n
