The Justice Department and FBI have concluded there is no evidence that Jeffrey Epstein blackmailed powerful individuals, maintained a so-called \u201cclient list,\u201d or was murdered, according to a memo outlining the investigation\u2019s findings obtained by Axios<\/p>\n

The administration is releasing both raw and \u201cenhanced\u201d video footage that it says shows no one entered the area of the Manhattan prison where Jeffrey Epstein was held on the night of his death in 2019. The two-page memo states the footage supports the medical examiner\u2019s conclusion that Epstein died by suicide.<\/p>\n

The findings mark the first official rejection by the Trump administration of conspiracy theories surrounding Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s activities and death\u2014narratives that had previously been promoted by the FBI\u2019s top two officials before their appointments under Trump, Axios noted.<\/p>\n

As social media influencers and prominent voices in MAGA circles, Kash Patel\u2014now FBI Director\u2014and Dan Bongino\u2014now Deputy Director\u2014were once among those who cast doubt on the official account of Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s death. Both have since publicly stated they believe Epstein died by suicide. Still, it remains widely accepted in many right-wing online communities that Epstein\u2019s crimes involved powerful elites in government, Hollywood, and business\u2014and that he was murdered to protect them.<\/p>\n

The official findings now also seem to contradict Attorney General Pam Bondi, who claimed earlier this year that she had the Epstein client list \u201con her desk.\u201d But now, according to the memo seen by Axios, \u201cno incriminating \u2018client list\u2019 \u201d of Epstein\u2019s, \u201cno credible evidence \u2026 that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals,\u201d and no \u201cevidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.\u201d<\/p>\n

Republicans and conservatives lambasted the official findings after they were released. \u201cTHIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR and a complete disappointment,\u201d Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.)\u00a0posted<\/a>\u00a0then. \u201cGET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR!\u201d<\/p>\n

Just last month, billionaire Elon Musk, as his fallout with the White House began, accused President Donald Trump of being \u201con the Epstein list.\u201d And on Monday, Musk posted sarcastically about the new official findings, as did other critics.<\/p>\n
