A shooting at a house party in Mountain View, North Carolina, early Sunday, June 1, left one person dead and 11 others injured.
The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. during a pool party with about 100 attendees, including juveniles. Gunfire broke out across multiple areas of the property, and the motive remains unclear.
Authorities say 12 people were shot—one fatally, one critically, and others hospitalized. Multiple weapons were involved, but no arrests have been made.
The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, Hickory Police, and state investigators are leading the ongoing investigation.
