On Friday, May 17, 2025, country music icon Alan Jackson stood before a sold-out crowd in Milwaukee and shared the news fans had long fearedβbut hoped would never come.
βThis is the last road show of my career,β the 66-year-old said through tears, closing out his Last Call: One More for the Road Tour with an emotional farewell that drew a standing ovation and left fans in tears.

But thereβs a silver lining for fans not ready to say goodbye.
βWeβre planning on doing a big finale show in Nashville next summer sometime,β he told the crowd. βIt just felt like I had to end it all where it all started. And thatβs in Nashville, Tennessee. Music City.β
Jackson has long been open about his ongoing health battle. In 2021, he revealed his diagnosis with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a hereditary condition that leads to progressive muscle weakness and atrophy, particularly in the arms and legs.
βItβs been affecting me for years, and itβs getting more and more obvious,β he previously shared in an interview. βNow Iβm having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone. I just want people to know thatβs why I look like I do.β
Just nine days after performing βRemember Whenβ at the 2025 ACM Awardsβa performance that earned him thunderous applause and online praiseβJackson officially confirmed what many had suspected. The Milwaukee stop would be the final tour date of his career.
