It’s hard to believe but every guy had a crush on this lady in the 70s. SHE WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN THE WHOLE USA 🇺🇸 but today she looks UNRECOGNIZABLE, as you can see. 😔 Do you know who is it? Well you will know immediately once you see her young. Check the comments ⬇️

For decades, she graced the silver screen with timeless beauty and captivating charm. Her life seemed like a dream: fame, success, and love with one of the biggest icons in film history.

But behind the glamour was a woman struggling to hold onto herself.

Today, this 88-year-old woman credits her faith for keeping her grounded through the heartbreaks that defined her life.

A star among the greats

Her acting career spanned genres and generations. With performances that blended wit and vulnerability, she earned three Oscar nominations, three Golden Globe nominations (winning one), and a Saturn Award.

In 1983, she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a tribute to a career that still inspires.

Audiences loved her for films like Bob & Carol & Ted & AliceThe Last of SheilaHeaven Can Wait, and Deathtrap. Her versatility — whether in drama, mystery, or comedy — made her one of Hollywood’s brightest talents.

But her real story began off-camera, in a romance that would change her forever.

The love that tested her spirit

It’s said that one night in 1961, Cary Grant sat alone in his Beverly Hills home, watching television as midnight approached. A rather ordinary show was on — until a striking young woman appeared on the screen. She was in her early twenties, with a cascade of honey-blond hair falling over one eye, a button nose, wide, curious eyes, and full lips that caught his attention instantly.

Intrigued, Grant wasted no time finding out who she was. He soon discovered that the young woman was already a familiar face on television. Determined to meet her, the Hollywood star began pulling every string he could, calling around until he tracked her down.

In the swinging 1960s, the actress with the unforgettable laugh lost her heart to one of Hollywood’s greatest — Cary Grant. Their relationship was as captivating as any Hollywood script: the dapper master of sophisticated film comedy pursued her for eight months before she finally agreed to go out with him.

Called everyone imaginable

It’s said that one quiet night in 1961, Cary Grant was sitting alone in his Beverly Hills home, watching television as midnight approached. A forgettable show was playing when suddenly a striking young woman appeared on the screen — a girl in her early twenties with a tumble of honey-blond hair falling over one eye, a button nose, wide, expressive eyes, and full lips.

Grant was instantly mesmerized. He quickly found out who she was and learned that the young beauty was already something of a television veteran. The smitten movie star began pulling every string he could, making call after call until he discovered where to find her.

When they married, she was 28 and he was 61.

“I loved him deeply and was committed to him,” she later said.

Yet their love came with expectations.

“He wanted me to quit my acting career, I did. He wanted to change my hair, the way I dressed, the way I walked, the way I wrote. And I so wanted to make him happy.”

She tried to become the woman he imagined, but the harder she tried, the more she lost sight of herself.

“I would try and close the cupboards more gently… try and drive with both hands on the steering wheel,” she recalled.

Over time, she realized no amount of change could fill the void between them.

“If you go against your deepest feelings… you’re screwed,” she admitted.

Their marriage lasted only three years, ending in 1968. At the time of their divorce, the 30-year-old beauty claimed that her husband had treated her in “a cruel and inhuman manner.”

She claimed that Grant had pushed her to the brink of a nervous breakdown and persuaded her to take LSD, which she said she used only twice. In addition, she alleged that he struck her, and laughed while doing it.

Court documents also revealed that in 1967, Grant’s annual income was around $500,000, with a personal fortune exceeding $10 million.

Walking away and starting over

But leaving her marriage wasn’t easy.

“I couldn’t breathe in that atmosphere anymore,” she confessed.

Despite the heartbreak, her love for him remained pure. “I didn’t really want anything from him. I just loved him. There was no agenda there.”

In the years that followed, she looked back with gratitude rather than bitterness.

“There are some happy memories with Cary. I’m grateful for the experience. It’s brought me to be the woman I am today.”

The end of their relationship marked the beginning of a long journey back to herself — a journey defined by resilience, reflection, and faith.

A mother’s greatest gift

From their marriage came her greatest joy: their daughter, Jennifer, born in 1966 — Cary Grant’s only child. Even after their divorce, this bond kept them connected in mutual devotion.

After Grant’s death in 1986, she was offered “millions” to write a tell-all memoir about their marriage. “Swifty Lazar called me a week after Cary died,” she recalled, but she turned it down.

Fifteen years later, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, then a book editor, encouraged her to tell her story — but not just about Cary.

She waited until she was emotionally ready. “It’s about relationships and what people do to themselves and each other under that canopy called love,” she explained of her eventual memoir.

Facing time and public judgment

Even into her 80s, she remained in the public eye, attending events and basketball games with her trademark energy and smile.

In 2023, fans and critics took to social media after seeing new photos of her — some expressing admiration, others judgment.

“Looks great for 86 and walking — what more could you ask for?” one fan wrote.

Others were less kind, saying, “Too much surgery” or “What happened to her face?”

The reactions reflected society’s enduring obsession with youth, especially for women once celebrated as symbols of beauty.

In 2025, the actress once again stepped out for a rare public sighting over the weekend, and fans could hardly recognize her.

The 88-year-old actress and filmmaker was photographed in Los Angeles on July 13, taking her dogs for a walk. She kept things casual in a white summer blouse, black flared leggings, a black fedora, and simple sandals.

Finding peace through faith

Through it all, she’s found something deeper than fame: faith.

“Praying, that’s what keeps me straight,” she shared.

Calling herself a “big God girl,” she’s open about how spirituality helped her make sense of life’s challenges.

“After some of the things I’ve been through, I couldn’t make sense out of the world, so I had to go to something that did make sense,” she said.

Faith, for her, is not only personal but active.

The Oscar-nominated star hosts a monthly Bible study at her home and volunteers weekly with recovering addicts, offering encouragement and hope to others.

The woman behind the name

If you haven’t guessed by now, we’re talking about the incredible Dyan Cannon, a woman who broke free from Hollywood’s expectations, faced heartbreak with grace, and came out the other side stronger, wiser, and at peace.

Looking back, she says simply, “I have to say that it took me a while to find happiness, but I’m a happy puppy now.”

Her journey from Hollywood’s golden girl to a woman of grace and faith is a testament to resilience — and a reminder that true beauty lies not in what the world sees, but in what endures within.

He said he was detained after a traffic stop, per the outlet. Speaking to reporters early on Wednesday, Feb. 11 outside his home in Rio Rico, Ariz., the man said, “I didn’t do anything … I’m innocent,” per a video posted on X by CBS reporter Andres Gutierrez. He also said he allegedly doesn’t know who Savannah Guthrie or her mom Nancy is, according to the clip. A Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson didn’t immediately respond when contacted by PEOPLE for additional information. Nancy was last seen at her Tucson home on Jan. 31. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, along with the FBI, then launched a massive investigation into her disappearance, with Sheriff Chris Nanos saying at a Feb. 3 press conference that authorities believe she was taken against her will. Nanos later confirmed that blood found on the exterior porch of Nancy’s home matches her DNA. He has also said that she is currently without her daily medication needed to survive. No suspects or persons of interest had been identified in Nancy’s kidnapping as of Wednesday, Feb. 11. Nathan Congleton/NBC/Getty On Tuesday, Feb. 10, the FBI released surveillance photos and video of an “armed” individual at Nancy’s front door on the morning of her kidnapping. A timeline previously released by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department outlines Nancy’s last known movements. Her doorbell camera disconnects around 1:47 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, and at 2:12 a.m., the software detects a person. Then at 2:28 a.m., Nancy’s pacemaker app disconnects from her phone. Her family then reported her missing to police around noon. “We believe she is still alive. Bring her home,” Savannah, 54, wrote on Instagram alongside the new photos. In recent days, the journalist has posted multiple videos pleading for her mother’s safe return and acknowledging the alleged ransom notes being investigated by authorities. “We received your message and we understand,” Savannah said in a Feb. 7 video on Instagram. “We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.” An apparent ransom note sent to local Arizona television stations KOLD and KGUN demanded $6 million in bitcoin by 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 — a deadline that has now passed. It is unclear if any payment was made as the FBI did not disclose that information in a statement provided to PEOPLE just after 5 p.m. Monday. An earlier deadline of Thursday, Feb. 5, which demanded $4 million, also passed without any payment being made, sources previously told PEOPLE. Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage?
