Leah Rose and Ava Marie Clements celebrated their seventh birthday in 2017 by setting up an Instagram account that quickly gained a ton of followers who were in awe of their stunning beauty.

The 14-year-old California sisters, who are sometimes referred to as the “most beautiful twins in the world,” are well-known child models across the globe with an intriguing backstory that matches their heavenly appearance.

Jaqi Clements made the decision to share images of her identical twin girls, Leah and Ava, on social media in 2017. At first, the posts served only as a means of informing friends and family about their lives. However, the account gained popularity as soon as the internet noticed their exceptional beauty.

People were drawn to their charm and inherent attractiveness, and soon after, companies and modeling agencies began contacting them. What started off as a straightforward Instagram page evolved into a potent tool that would completely change their lives.

The mother of three says in a blog post, “Before creating an account for the girls, I hadn’t used Instagram much.” “I wouldn’t have known if 300,000 followers was a lot if you had asked me that question six months ago.”

With nearly 3 million Instagram and Facebook followers and prominent endorsement deals with companies like Nike, Disney, and Target, the twins have solidified their position as leading child models.

Criticism

The Clements family was heavily criticized by those who questioned the parents’ choice to let Leah and Ava pursue modeling at such a young age, despite the glamour.

Jaqi adamantly defended her decision, stating that the twins’ dream of modeling was theirs and not something that was forced upon them. She made it clear that neither she nor her husband, Kevin, were making money off of their kids; rather, they were making personal financial sacrifices to help the girls pursue their passions.

“I didn’t decide that my girls were going to start modeling, they did,” Jaqi writes in response to the criticism. And I will wholeheartedly back their choice to pursue anything else if the time ever comes.

Lifeline

In October 2019, the Clements twins’ Instagram account—which had already amassed millions of followers as a result of their modeling success—became their father’s lifeline. Initially, the family viewed social media as a way to share the siblings’ modeling adventure.

When Kevin, the father of three and head swim coach at a nearby high school, started experiencing what he believed to be a light cold, the life of the family took an unexpected turn.

At the age of 39, Kevin received a diagnosis of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma, an uncommon and aggressive kind of cancer.

The twins were determined to help, so they used social media to try to find a match for their dad’s life-saving bone marrow transplant among their millions of followers.

In 2019, Ava told People that “his cancer will go away quicker if he gets a transplant.”

“People are so sweet to want to help my dad,” Leah continued. It is preferable if more people are tested.

The twins appealed to thousands of people nationwide to help their father, and even though Kevin was able to find a match in his brother Chris, the supporters were added to a national register to aid future sufferers.

Beyond attractive faces

As gorgeous 14-year-olds, Ava and Leah still pose and interact with their expanding fan following. Their transformation from local models to global sensations is a credit to their charm, perseverance, and family’s continuous support.

Leah and Ava have demonstrated that they are more than just attractive faces by juggling their lucrative modeling jobs with advocacy, family, and school. They are an inspiration to many, and as they continue to develop, the world excitedly anticipates what these incredible young stars will do next.
