Medical authorities confirmed that nine people were killed and 28 others injured after an Iranian ballistic missile struck Beit Shemesh. Among the wounded, two are in serious condition, two are in moderate condition, and 24 sustained light injuries.

According to officials, most of the victims were sheltering in a public refuge at the time of the strike.

Jerusalem District Police Chief Avshalom Peled stated that the missile directly hit a synagogue, which then collapsed onto the public shelter beneath it. Speaking at the scene, he described the attack as a “direct impact,” adding that the majority — if not all — of the victims were inside the shelter when the missile struck.
