PART 4 My husband believed that being pregnant, raising two children

Our divorce was eventually finalized after months of intense legal negotiations that secured my rightful share of our marital property and established a clear parenting schedule. Six months after signing the final decree I welcomed my healthy baby girl Clara and successfully returned to my career as a senior financial consultant.

Lucas and Amelia adjusted well to their new routines and I finally achieved a peaceful life where I no longer had to fear that basic living expenses would be used as weapons against me.

While my new daily schedule as a working single mother of three is incredibly demanding and complex every single aspect of it belongs entirely to me. My former husband spent nine long years trying to convince me that walking away from him would cost me everything I had ever loved. Instead my careful planning and refusal to play the victim taught him the painful lesson that I never needed his permission to reclaim my independence my financial security and my personal freedom.
