Jim Jordan Exposed Biden DHS Not Deporting over 99% of Illegal Aliens Arriving to U.S.
According to a horrifying report released by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio and Immigration Subcommittee Chairman Tom McClintock of California, the Biden Administration’s Department of Homeland Security is failing to deport more than 99 percent of illegal immigrants arriving in the United States.
The data for the report comes from an expansive amount of time, from January 20, 2021, through March 31, 2023, and tracks what happened to more than five million illegal immigrants who arrived at the border over that time period.
According to the report, at least 2.4 million did not have a confirmed departure from the U.S. Further, the report provides that “DHS released at least 2,148,738 illegal aliens into the United States” and “Only 5,993 illegal aliens encountered at the southwest border and placed in removal proceedings before an immigration judge were actually removed from the United States during this time.” The report also notes that “An additional 205,473 aliens were released into the country through illegal categorical parole programs.”
Further, those who entered the United States were rarely even screened to see if they had a valid asylum claim that would be the basis for their non-deportation, with the report providing, “A mere six percent of illegal aliens released into the United States were even screened for fear of persecution for purposes of asylum.”
Continuing, the report noted, “As of March 2023, DHS had removed only 874 of the illegal aliens found to have a credible fear of persecution and whose claims were adjudicated on the merits and denied by an immigration judge.”
