Jessica Simpson posts makeup-free selfie, infuriating fans

Jessica Simpson celebrated her birthday not too long ago with a refreshing departure from the typical glitz and glamour of celebrityculture, sharing a makeup-free selfie on social media.

However, what began as an innocent gesture has ignited a debate, leaving many people furious.

While many of her fans applauded her for embracing her natural beauty, others questioned whether the ‘I Wanna Love You Forever’ singerwas truly “makeup-free”.

Some people wrote that they admired her glowing complexion and inquired about her skincare routine, with comments like: “What’s your skincare routine!?” and: “You’ve never needed makeup. Beautiful as always, Happy Birthday!”

However, there were a voices among her followers who pointed out that despite her claim of going makeup-free, Jessica seemed to be wearing mascara, lip gloss, and concealer. One commenter remarked: “Beautiful, but not make up free. Mascara, lip gloss, and concealer is not makeup free.”

Another concern raised by some fans was the potential impact of Jessica’s post on her impressionable young audiences. “You look lovely, but please don’t lie about not wearing makeup! You can see the clumpiness of your mascara. It’s irresponsible to put this message out there, as many in the comments are wondering why they don’t look this way makeup-free,” someone said.

Another added: “This makes me sad for my young daughter growing up with social media.”

Interestingly, Jessica herself has grappled with the pressures of social media and its implications for her daughters – especially as she has been in the spotlight since her teens.
