Kim Kardashian is no real stranger to dividing opinion, so she probably won’t lose any sleep over the fact that her dress for the 2024 Met Gala has been labeled “unhealthy” by some.

The event, which took place yesterday, drew a who’s who of the biggest celebrities around. As usual, it was a chance for them to harness the weird and the wonderful where their outfits were concerned, with the theme for this year’s edition “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”. The dress code, meanwhile, was “The Garden of Time”.

Unsurprisingly, all manner of photos emerged from the event, with the vast majority of attendees tapping into their more flamboyant sides while donning peculiar gowns and dresses intended to make a bold statement.

Much and more has been said about the various A-listers and their eye-catching offerings, but chief among those guests who drew the most attention was Kim Kardashian, who wore a custom dress by John Galliano.

The 43-year-old reality TV star’s outfit was described as a strapless silver corset over floor-length silver leaf mesh netting and a grey shrug-style cardigan – say that five times as fast as you can – and it proved sufficient to evoke impassioned responses from some of the folk following the Met Gala from their homes.

Now, we’re not saying that Kim K didn’t look great, but take a closer look at the form of her ensemble – more specifically the corset part – and you might agree that some individuals were right to point out that the constrictive nature left them feeling “uncomfortable”.

Put simply, the design of the corset makes the TV personality’s waist seem so small that it looks like her body has undergone a dramatic reshuffle in order to make things fit.

People took to social media to air their thoughts on Kim’s fashion choices, with some saying her outfit “actually is concerning” if others tried to emulate it.

Another commenter said that Kardashian would “continue to promote an unhealthy waist” that was “not natural and healthy”.
