As he approached his own vehicle, he noticed three masked men nearby and initially thought it was being towed. However, when one of the men pointed a gun at him, Wactor fearlessly shielded his coworker from harm without a second thought.

Described by his brother Grant as a hardworking and compassionate individual, Johnny Wactor’s untimely passing has left a void in the hearts of many. Grant shared, “We’re Southern by birth and blood, and we would never let a woman walk to their car by herself.” The memory of Wactor’s heroic act will forever be remembered and cherished by those who knew him.
