Kathie Lee Gifford recently experienced a hospitalization following a fall during her recovery from hip replacement surgery. In a recent interview, the television personality revealed the unfortunate incident that resulted in her fracturing her pelvis in two places. It happened during the midst of her healing process following her hip replacement surgery.
According to her, the incident occurred when she pushed herself too hard while helping with the book signing event in Nashville. The following day, as she made her way to open the door for her friends, she unfortunately stumbled.
“It didn’t take much, because I was weak in that spot,” Gifford said of her fall. Before I knew it, I found myself back in the hospital dealing with a fractured pelvis, both in the front and the back. That was an incredibly painful experience, even worse than what I endured with my hip. The pelvis is unbelievably painful.”
“You think you know your body and the next thing you know, your body changes when you get older,” the former anchor for the Today show said. «I can’t help but acknowledge the reality, even though I’d rather not dwell on it.»
In a recent development, Gifford made a comeback to her previous role at the Today show and engaged in a conversation with Hoda Kotb, who is 59 years old. During the interview, she mentioned that she was in the process of recovering from her recent hip replacement surgery. She also took the opportunity to discuss her latest novel, Herod and Mary: The True Story of the Tyrant King and the Mother of the Risen Savior.
