At 56, Julia Roberts shocks fans after debuting bold new hairstyle – “That is not a pretty woman,” one wrote See pic in comments
Julia Roberts is no stranger to turning heads with her changing hairstyles, I think we can all agree on that.
The iconic actress has sported many different looks over the years, but her latest switch-up may rank among the most eye-catching yet. Readers will surely remember how Roberts introduced a new “spontaneous” fringe last year, garnering plenty of comments in the process.
Well, the Erin Brockovich star has decided to shake it up once again, and this time she’s gone for blonde…
Though she’s likely more familiar to fans with darker hair, the actress was seen on Instagram recently posing with newly-colored luscious blonde blocks.
The post in question saw Roberts showered with praise, with the masses seemingly delighted. Yet when pictures of the star’s new look made their way to Facebook, they met with more conflicted reactions.
It appears not everyone thought going blonde was the best course of action, with a number of individuals pointing out perceived flaws in Roberts’ new look.
“Not the same person [sic],” one person wrote.
“That is not a pretty woman. Bleached blonde is not for her,” another added.
“Doesn’t go with her skin color,” said a third, with a fourth adding: “Red is so much prettier.”
Another fan dug a little deeper, offering a potential explanation as to why Roberts chose to color her hair.
“She probably went with blond because she is grey,” they said. “Blond covers grey better [sic].”
Earlier this year, Roberts sat down with Vogue and revealed one of the biggest regrets of her life thus far is not having gone to college.
“I couldn’t. It wasn’t in my cards,” the 56-year-old said at the time.
“My family didn’t have the money. And I had no scholarship potential. That kind of thing.”
We think Julia Roberts looks fabulous with her new blonde hair. How about you? Let us know thoughts in the comments.
