Acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Patrick Lechleitner dropped a bombshell report on President Joe Biden and Democrat presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris this week, according to reports.
On Friday, the same day that the vice president visited the border in what was only trip number two to the region since she became vice president, the director, who was appointed by Biden, revealed shocking information on the number of convicted murderers and sexual assaulters who have been released into the United States.
In a letter sent to Texas Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales, the director said that a staggering 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories, either convicted or with charges pending, have been caught and released into the United States on ICE’s national docket.
Of those criminals and potential criminals, a whopping 13,099 have been convicted of homicide.
The worst part is that those people are part of ICE’s “non-detained docket,” which means they are living among citizens as they await citizenship hearings, which most often take years.
“As of July 21, 2024, there were 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories on ICE’s national docket—13,099 criminally convicted MURDERS! Americans deserve to be SAFE in our own communities,” the representative said on X, formerly Twitter.
“We are removing and returning record numbers of migrants who are unable to establish a legal basis to remain in the United States, and prioritizing for removal those who present national security and public safety risks, and recent border crossers,” the director said in the letter. “From mid-May 2023 through the end of July 2024, DHS removed or returned more than 893,600 individuals, including more than 138,300 individuals in family units. The majority of all individuals encountered at the Southwest Border over the past three years have been removed, returned, or expelled.”
The numbers are shocking as among the 662,566 noncitizens that have criminal histories, 435,719 have been convicted, and 226,847 are facing pending criminal charges.
The acting director’s letter also said that more than 15,800 noncitizens who have been convicted of sexual assault are on the non-detained docket. And the docket also contains close to 1,900 people with pending charges for homicide charges and more than 4,250 with pending sexual assault charges.
“We just got these numbers moments ago, but it’s a jaw-dropper, to say the least,” Fox News reporter Bill Melugin said when reporting the news. “According to a letter that the acting director of ICE just sent to Texas Congressman Tony Gonzalez, on ICE’s non-detained docket, they’re currently tracking 425,000 non-citizens who have been convicted of a crime. Of that number, over 13,000 non-citizens have convictions for homicide and are on the non-detained docket, meaning they’re roaming the country right now.
“On top of that, there are another 15,811 non-citizens convicted of sexual assault who are roaming the country right now on ICE’s non-detained docket,” he said. “It doesn’t stop there. Those are convictions. The ICE director also says there are currently just under 1,900 non-citizens on the non-detained docket who have pending homicide charges who are roaming the country and another 4,250 non-citizens who have pending sexual assault charges who are roaming the country on the non-detained docket.”
Florida Republican. Rep. Cory Mills was furious when he read the news and took to X and share his frustration and blame the vice president.
“Federal records show that there are more than 662,566 immigrant criminals on the national docket who have not been detained, including 435,719 who have been convicted of crimes, after several municipalities have refused to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE),” he said.
“Here’s some of the numbers: – 16,000 for sexual assault – 56,000 for drug charges – 13,000 for homicide There are 222,000 with pending criminal charges. This is the Border Czar, Kamala Harris, border crisis,” he said.
