One day, Owen was getting ready to play his favorite video game, “Call of Duty: Black Ops II,” when he heard his younger sister screaming outside. Concerned for her safety, Owen looked out the window and witnessed an alarming sight. Someone was forcefully dragging his 8-year-old sister towards the nearby woods.

In a split second, Owen knew he had to act. He grabbed his slingshot, a $3 toy his mom had bought for him, and quickly loaded it with a marble and a rock. Thanks to his practice hitting old orange cans, Owen had confidence in his aim. With adrenaline rushing through his veins, he aimed the slingshot and struck the kidnapper not once, but twice.
