🚨 JUST IN: New Camera Angle Catches Carrie Underwood’s Reaction to Near-Disaster at Inauguration More in Comments 👇

Carrie Underwood took charge of her “America the Beautiful” performance during the presidential inauguration after some technical difficulties. The Armed Forces Chorus and the U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club were supposed to back Underwood via a pre-recorded track, but when the music failed to play, Underwood made an executive decision.

A new angle of her performance, which aired on CNN, shows the country-pop star telling a sound technician “I’ll just sing it.” The technician nods, giving her the go-ahead, and she starts her performance a capella. Being the seasoned performer that she is, of course she knocked it out of the park.

The gathered crowd sang along as Carrie Underwood took control of her performance. She delivered a stunning rendition of the patriotic standard, showing off her incredible vocals without the aid of a backing track. Along with her undeniable talent, it was her quick thinking and confidence in her abilities that saved her performance.

Fans Reacted Positively to Carrie Underwood Performing “America the Beautiful” Unexpectedly A Capella

Carrie Underwood’s fans and people watching the inauguration at home were pleasantly surprised by the star’s bold move. She began her performance by telling the crowd, “If you know the words, help me out here,” before launching into the American classic. Fans reacted on social media following the performance.

“Carrie Underwood just pulled the best audible ever, Wow!” one person wrote, while another commented, “Goosebumps listening to Carrie Underwood sing as well as the room full of people! That was pretty special to watch.” More people applauded Underwood’s ability to perform under pressure and keep her cool even when faced with sudden technical issues.

“I enjoyed Carrie’s performance more without the background music—it was nice hearing everyone else sing along with her,” another person wrote on social media.

When it was announced that Carrie Underwood would be performing at the inauguration, many people were confused and even upset at the news. However, Underwood released a statement to People, saying, “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
