A photo has gone viral online of President Donald Trump with billionaire Elon Musk and conservative host Tucker Carlson at the White House.
The official X account for President Donald Trump shared a photo of the trio on Friday morning, where Musk and Carlson are wearing oversized MAGA (Make America Great Again) hats.
Trump can be seen giving a thumbs-up with a huge smile on his face.
A new survey shows that more than half of likely U.S. voters support the immigration enforcement raids initiated since President Trump took office.
The Rasmussen Reports survey, which polled 1,229 likely voters between January 26-28, found that 57% of respondents approve of the raids aimed at apprehending and deporting migrants living in the country illegally. Of those, 38% expressed strong approval, while 39% disapproved, including 24% who strongly disapproved.
The survey also touched on the Trump administration’s push to investigate sanctuary cities that protect immigrants. When asked whether officials in those areas should be prosecuted for obstructing federal immigration enforcement, 48% of voters agreed, while 38% disagreed, and 14% were unsure, Newsmax reported, citing the results.
The outlet cited additional results:
- 86% of those who strongly approve of the raids said they favor prosecuting sanctuary city officials if they interfere with federal enforcement measures.
- 81% of Republicans, 36% of Democrats, and 45% of voters not affiliated with either major party at least somewhat approve of the raids.
- 47% of Democrats said they strongly disapprove of the raids, along with 6% of Republicans and 16% of unaffiliated voters.
- 71% of Republicans, 28% of Democrats, and 46% of unaffiliated voters said they think sanctuary city officials who interfere with enforcement measures should be prosecuted.
- 56% of Democrats, 20% of Republicans, and 36% of unaffiliated voters said the officials should not be prosecuted.
Additional majorities, based on race or sex, said they favored the raids as well as federal prosecution of city and state officials who shield illegal migrants from immigration authorities:
The survey further found a large difference between voters for Trump and former Vice President Kamala Harris’ voters when it came to approving the raids, with 87% of Trump’s voters approving and 70% of Harris’ voters disapproving, the outlet added.
Earlier this week, Trump’s Border Czar, Tom Homan. obliterated CNN’s Kaitlan Collins during a tense interview about the administration’s ongoing mass deportation operation, which elements of the FBI have since joined.
During an interview on “The Source,” Homan held his ground when Collins asked about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) going after illegal aliens hiding out in schools, churches, and hospitals so they could avoid being deported.
“What is the standard, I guess, to go into an elementary school?” Collins asked. “Because what we had heard from immigration advocates is that this is going to provide a chilling effect to parents in the school drop-off line or something of that matter.”
“It shouldn’t be a chilling effect unless your child is a terrorist or a public safety threat. If they are a public safety threat, a national security threat, they should be chilled. They should be afraid because we’re looking for them,” Homan responded.
Collins said that the concern was really about parents who are illegal aliens.
“They’re not off the table either. I mean, they’re in the country illegally, they have got a problem,” Collins said. “I mean, it’s not OK — look, we — it’s not OK to enter this country illegally. It’s a crime. And that’s the way it’s supposed to be. I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I’m in Switzerland illegally. So we’re going to enforce the laws of this country.”
“National security threats and public safety threats have no safe haven in this country, and we will go where we got to go,” he added.
