I RETURNED HOME FROM A BUSINESS TRIP AND FOUND A NEWBORN BABY WITH TWO NOTES
After a year working on the oil pipeline up in Alaska, I was finally heading home. All I could think about was my wife, Lisa… her smile, her cooking, the way she always had music playing in the house.
When I walked in, the lights were on in the living room, but she wasn’t there. I called her name – nothing. I headed to the kitchen, thinking maybe she was cooking something.
