A leading oncologist who once worked with Joe Biden went public yesterday with his view that the former president must have had prostate cancer long before he told the world.

Biden’s office released a statement on Sunday announcing that the 82-year-old had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had metastasized to his bones.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” read the statement.

“On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterised by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.

“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.”

The discovery was reportedly made on Friday after he reported urinary symptoms, leading to doctors finding a small nodule on his prostate.

Though there was an immediate outpouring of support for the former president, others have been left wondering just how Biden’s cancer remained undiscovered through all the regular health checks a sitting POTUS undergoes.

Credible doubt has given rise to conspiracy theories suggesting that Biden’s team were aware of the cancer but chose to keep it a secret so as not to hinder his chances in the 2024 presidential election.

Indeed, President Donald Trump wasted little time in stoking the fires of speculation after initially tweeting his support for Biden. Trump boldly claimed: “I’m surprised that it wasn’t, you know — the public wasn’t notified a long time ago because to get to stage nine — that’s a long time.”

He then stated that “somebody is not telling the facts.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Trump also took the opportunity to bring up Biden’s supposed mental decline (Biden, remember, stepped back from the presidential race last year amidst concerns for his overall health).

“And it takes a long time to get to that situation,” Trump added. “Now, I think, you know, to get to a stage nine, I think that, if you take a look, it’s the same doctor that said that Joe was cognitively fine. There was nothing wrong with him. Well, he said — if it’s the same doctor, he said there was nothing wrong there. And that’s being proven to be a sad situation.”

“In other words, there are things going on that the public wasn’t informed. And I think somebody is going to have to speak to his doctor if it’s the same, or even if it’s two separate doctors.

“Why wasn’t the cognitive ability, why wasn’t that discussed? And I think the doctor said he’s just fine. And, it’s turned out that’s not so. It’s very dangerous. Look, this is no longer politically correct. This is dangerous for our country,” Trump said.

But it’s not just Trump questioning the idea that Biden’s cancer was only discovered a few days ago. Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a former member of Biden’s transition team who helped craft the Obama-era Affordable Care Act, told Morning Joe that the 82-year-old likely had cancer while he was president.

“He’s had this for many years, maybe even a decade, growing there and spreading,” Emanuel told the Biden-supporting yesterday, as per NY Post. “He did not develop it in the last 100 to 200 days.”

“He had it while he was president. He probably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021. Yes, I don’t think there’s any disagreement about that.”

Given that Biden’s cancer has metastasized to the bone, many experts concur that the former POTUS must have had the disease for a long time.

One doctor labeled it “inconceivable” that the cancer went undetected for as long as it did.

Dr. Emanuel added that Biden should have had a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) exam when he was younger, even if some doctors don’t recommend doing it after the age of 70.

“He was vice president and had a lot of exams under 70. So it’s a little surprising that they didn’t do it,” the oncologist said.

“And maybe President Biden decided he didn’t want the test. Many men do decide they don’t want a PSA, but this is also aggressive.

“When we talk about the aggressive part, what we mean is that Gleason score, that score is from two up to 10. And he’s a nine. And that means that the cancer doesn’t look normal, it looks very abnormal, which is probably why it’s in the bone.”
